Leveraging the site's natural topography, we transformed a steep slope into a cascading waterfall that feeds into a serene koi pond. This design maximizes the sensory and "healing" qualities inherent in Japanese gardens, creating a meditative sanctuary for the homeowners. Beyond its beauty, the garden features a hand-constructed dry stream (kare-sawa) that serves a critical ecological function: it acts as a natural drainage system, capturing hillside runoff during heavy storms and safely channeling it into the pond.
